TaxPlus Gains Support from the Malaysian Electronic Tax Bureau to Advance the Development of the RCEP E-Invoice Open Platform
On the morning of January 6, TaxPlus held in-depth discussions with leaders and technical experts in the field of electronic invoicing from the Malaysian tax authority at the Kuala Lumpur Tax Bureau. The discussion centered on the construction of the RCEP Digital Invoice Open Platform and AI Accounting Factory . TaxPlus’s proposed BBill electronic invoicing protocol, featuring openness, compatibility, and security in its technical architecture, received high recognition and support from the Malaysian tax authority. Both parties are committed to building a world-class RCEP regional digital electronic invoicing transmission protocol and management system standards to promote the adoption of electronic invoicing within the RCEP region and support the development of Malaysia's tax digital ecosystem.
The RCEP Digital Invoice Open Platform and AI Accounting Factory will significantly help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) meet compliance requirements for electronic invoicing, reduce operating costs, and eliminate hassle. The two sides also conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the platform’s architecture, technical standards, data security, and cross-border connectivity. The Malaysian tax authority emphasized that electronic invoicing is a crucial measure for achieving digital tax governance, helping to enhance government oversight, improve tax compliance efficiency, and promote transparency and standardization in the regional economy. TaxPlus stated its commitment to deepening technological innovation to provide enterprises with automated financial and tax solutions, including digital electronic invoicing, and to support Malaysia's sustainable economic development.
The advancement of this project marks a further deepening of TaxPlus's collaboration within RCEP member countries. It not only strengthens government-enterprise synergies but also creates new breakthroughs in cross-border tax cooperation among RCEP member governments, injecting strong momentum into regional economic integration.
